Yin Yoga | Relax and Restore

Sometimes we need some time to relax and restore, and this can be done with Yin Yoga. Yin yoga is a slow steady practice with a sense of core softness and surrender. Come into each posture non-aggressively and sensitively, allowing the breath to remain slow and relaxed.

I have included a work flow for you so that you can practice this restorative yin yoga at home. The worksheet takes you through the flow, step by step. You can download it here.

Settle into each posture for 4-5 minutes, so you don't want to feel any strain. Use any cushions, blankets, blocks that you need so you are comfortable in each posture. They are held for an extended period of time to allow the energy, chi or prana to flow more freely, especially to areas which feel tight or sluggish. Feel fully supported by gravity so that you can relax completely into each posture and get that energy flowing.
